Dans La Rue is a registered Montreal charity. They take a multifaceted approach when responding to the needs of homeless youth and youth at risk in Montreal. Offering a safe, warm break from the streets, they provide support, meals, bags of non-perishable food, donations of warm clothing, basic necessities as well as emergency shelter, and access to psychologists, nurses, and family services.
The Ecomuseum Zoo is a non-profit organization that focuses on: environmental education, wildlife conservation and above all else – animal well-being. Dedicated to Québec wildlife, the Ecomuseum provides a safe and loving home for animals who were injured, orphaned or born under human care and therefore do not have the skills required to survive in their natural environment.
On Rock Community Services makes a difference in the West Island by helping those who struggle with food insecurity. In addition to feeding approximately 300 families every week, On Rock runs a lunch program for elementary school students in need. They also run a thrift shop and a “pay what you can” restaurant that not only generates funds to support their food bank, but also offers affordable options to the community.

Great Things Happen When People Come Together
Thanks to the generous donations of our neighbours, our 2024 Fall Food Drive resulted in our biggest collection to date!
We even got a call from Kim at On Rock when he saw all of the donations in the warehouse. He wanted to personally express how grateful he was for the support!
Many West Islanders know that On Rock has been serving our community for years, but what you may not know is that a couple of months ago, they faced a few unforeseen challenges… A freezer breakdown that led to the loss of 1,200+ kg of food, Then a week later, a flooded basement because of a burst water main. This is where all the Christmas gifts for the families they support are stored… But, despite these setbacks, Kim and his incredible team of volunteers pushed forward, continuing to show up day after day. The people at On Rock are amazing; we are so proud to support them!
Thank you to everyone who donated! Your belief in helping others is what makes this all possible!
Also, thank you to anyone who took the time to call, text, and/or leave us notes with words of encouragement throughout the campaign. It’s a pleasure to run these food drives in our neighbourhood and the positive feedback from our neighbours is heartwarming!

It takes a village ❤️
Thanks to the generous donations of our neighbours, our 2024 Spring Food Drive was another huge success.
After our family went section by section throughout Beaconsfield, we were happy to deliver a full truckload of non-perishable food donations to On Rock Community Services.
Relying solely on food donations for 100% of the food they distribute, the volunteers at On Rock were so grateful to receive your donations.

Coming Together for a Cause
Thanks to the generous donations of our neighbours, our 2023 Fall Food Drive in support of On Rock Community Services was a huge success.
After we went section by section throughout Beaconsfield (and a small area of Pointe-Claire due to a mix up at Canada Post), we were able to deliver two very full truckloads of non-perishable food donations and personal care items to On Rock Community Services.
Thank you to everyone who donated! It’s clear that special trips to the grocery store were made. Your generosity and thoughtfulness didn’t go unnoticed.
Relying on food donations for 100% of the food they distribute, On Rock was thrilled to receive the donations. They are very clear in their message – their need for food donations is so great right now, that EVERY SINGLE ITEM HELPS.
The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. We saw that many people within our community are looking for ways to help others. If we can make the donation process a little bit easier by picking up and delivering the donated items, we’re more than happy to do so. You can count on us to continue supporting On Rock by organizing food drives within our community for many years to come.
