Dorval Neighbourhood Guide
Located on the south west portion of the island of Montreal, along the shores of Lac St. Louis, Dorval is the West Island’s oldest city. Founded in 1667, it has now evolved into a community that has distinct industrial and commercial areas as well as residential neighbourhoods. Residents and visitors enjoy the city’s many parks, recreational areas and greatly-appreciated bicycle paths that are located throughout the city.
Dorval is also home to the Pierre Elliot Trudeau International Airport which comprises approximately a third of Dorval’s land, and a third of its tax base. This Airport is the busiest in the Province of Quebec, and the third-busiest in Canada.
